Art, our past, our future. What builds our conscience, sets the standards and shapes the world around us. We are not passive beings living in a world that make us who we are, rather it is an interaction between humans and nature which shapes the world. My contribution to the influence of the path our culture takes is my perception of our society.
It is worth an attempt from time to time to stop, look around and cogitate.
I was given an oppurtunity to pursuit my dreams after finishing College and Academy of Art in Ukraine. This provided me with a chance to enter the proffesional art world. My first passion was painting on the reverse side of the glass. This techique was expanded during the beginning of the 20th century in eastern Europe. Taking interest in this form of art, I was able to take it and improvise, contribute a part of me into it. The result of creating something new allowed me to have a considerable amount of exhibits in Europe, as well as North America and involvement with Ukrainain Ministry of Art.
Moving to a new country, expiriencing new enviroment and a new century, brought new ideas and new passions. New jobs, new interests appeared and pushed me toward a new phase in life. “Crazy”, fictional animals was the beginning of a new chapter. Later followed by the mixture of animals, human nature, reality and imagination.
This new series is titled “Who am I?”, it represents what the painting asks and gives a chance for any viewer to ponder upon that.
